Sunbelt Rentals, formerly known as A-Plant, were looking to rebrand their business and amalgamate all of their other UK and European brands into a single brand (Sunbelt Rentals) to align with their US operation. They wanted to replace their website (and all group websites - 12 in total) with a modern CMS website deployment. This required a full re-structure of content, discovery, feature set, re-design and build.
They wanted to add features that would allow customers to build a basket of products that they could easily attach to a branch enquiry, along with making the whole site navigation much more user friendly. The other major requirement was to create a secure customer portal for their key account customers to enable access reporting, JCB’s telematics system for equipment they had on rental, along with access to pricing and other useful applications. This all needed to be implemented with a single account sign-on, cross authenticating with JCB’s systems to give the user a simple and seamless experience. User experience was critical to ensure they captured as many new and existing customer enquiries as possible.
Speak to us about your projectUsing the Umbraco Platform on Azure foundations, we integrated their new front end website into Sunbelt’s own internal product management system. This enabled us to build a solution which allowed customers of all types to schedule rentals of equipment, using the same customer experience that people have grown accustomed to with ecommerce. We integrated into a system which allowed Sunbelt to quickly process and manage the opening of new trade accounts. The new website has proven to be a huge success mirrored by a very successful merge and rebrand project through the company.
We developed a full UI (user interface) kit and Brand Guidelines to ensure complete consistency across the website design/build, ensuring they looked very much the FTSE 100 business they are! The UI kit was very important to ensure all calls to action across the site maximised user engagement, ensuring we achieved one of their main KPI’s for the project - increased enquiry levels for Sunbelt Rentals.
Since the new site went live in June 2020 their enquiries have increased by over 100%. They also required full control of content across the website estate and needed to ensure the CMS delivered as much control as possible for their internal marketing team, with all the latest CMS features being available to them including being SEO friendly and helping them achieve their goal of owning the rental business in UK and Europe.
Ina4 now works closely with Sunbelt Rentals as their technology and web partner in future developments and projects across the business.
